17 Weeks!

Hey Everyone!! I hope all the mommie out there had a great Mother's Day yesterday! I spent the day with my mom, my mema, & Adam's Mom! It was a GREAT day... I didn't get a chance to update my survey so i'm updating now! We're so close to finding out what we're having!!! I can't wait!! :) Adam is going on a fishing trip this weekend, so i'll be going to my parents house to spend some time with them & meet up with a few friends i haven't seen in awhile! Then the following weekend we are going camping & then His sister gets married the weekend after that! Busy Busy Busy! The next time i write i'll be DAYS away from fidning out what i'm having & hopefully i have GREAT news that the baby is growing & completely healthy... i'm going to be so nervous this next appointment, but im trying to keep positive! 16 Weeks!

Well, My appointment last Wed went well! We got to hear the heartbeat & we find out on May 22nd what we're having!!! We are so excited! This is earlier than we thought we were going to find out, so this is awesome! I don't have much to update today... but Adam did pass his CPAT for Fairfax on Saturday, so he's one step closer! I'm proud of him! But i'll leave y'all with my survey...

New Week

I hope y'all had a good weekend! I know i sure did! It was Race Weekend in good ol' Richmond, VA ;) So that's where i was all weekend... I am a bit sad that in Sept i'll be way too pregnant to sit through the race(it was a little rough this time & i'm only 15 weeks, so i can't imagine 33 weeks...) Wednesday i go to the Doc & then im pretty sure my next one we will find out what we're having! Adam and I did want to have a Gender Reveal party, but since everyone has different schedules & June is such a busy month we'd be missing half the people... :-\ & it would be July before everyone could get together & find out, so we're just findind out at the Doctor's & announcing it! Also as an update... Adam took the Chesterfield Fire Dept Test a few weeks ago, but found out Friday he didnt pass, but took the Fairfax one on Saturday & passed!! So we're excited since that's the one he really wanted!! I'm proud of him for passing & hope this works out, so he doesn't have to stay in the Navy! We'll see... but I'm going to leave this with my survey... enjoy!

a bun in the oven...

Yup that's right... Adam and I found out on Valentine's Day that we were going to be parents! Sorry i haven't kept this up, but as you know things got kind of busy! I'm 14 weeks today! Feels like it's flown by already! Apparently the baby is the size of a Lemon :) I can't wait to find out what it is...but every week i'll be doing this little thing so i can keep track & so can you guys! My next appointent is May 1st, so hopefully i'll have some more news!

Finally.. SNOW here in Norfolk, Virginia! Of course on a Friday night when i don't have work tomorrow ;) LOL, but that's ok at least it's pretty to look at! Now all i wish is i had a place to ride a four wheeler & sledd! Adam is on duty tonight so it's just Paisley and I... she's not a fan of the snow! haha I pretty much write every Friday, so this week went by sloooow... I wasn't feeling well Sunday, Monday & Tuesday so i only went to work for half of the week which made this week go by SUPER fast! Not much else has been going on this week... Next weekend we'll be going home for the weekend for Ben's 4th Birthday & the SUPER BOWL. I have yet to decide who i'm rooting for, but i think it's going to be the 49ers, but because they are an NFC team & i don't really like the Ravens that much, we'll see though :) on a venting topic though... I really hate when people who aren't from Virginia complain about us & our driving abilities. Ok, so it doesn't snow here often & we don't know how to drive in it... Why would you expect people to know how to drive in a weather condition that they don't see often? Seriously... It's cool that you're from a state that snows regularly, but it doesnt here, so we don't know... we were never taught & our state is never prepared for it because it doesn't snow here on a regular basis. Get over it. Give us a break. ALSO it really irritates me when those people live in an area where it's VERY cosmopolitan... Hello? you're not from here but you live here because of the Military it's the same for a hell of a lot of other people living down here too. Don't assume you're stuck behind someone from Virginia for all you know they could be from the same state you are ;) Just sayin... I'm sure if i went to some of y'alls states i could find something to complain about too. It just irks my nerves... PLUS i love living in Virginia & very passionate about where im from & the town im from... & not everywhere in Virginia is like Hampton Roads, but thats a whole other topic! But anyways... I hope if you're in Virginia you have a GREAT snowy evening & day... stay safe!

awful beautiful life

Well, it's been a week since i've written.. so let's see...hmm... My Nephew's birthday was a blast & a very busy day! He had a lot of fun, but was pooped by the end of it! :) Adam and I came back home which was a VERY quiet ride home as his beloved Broncos lost on Saturday :( He's still mourning about it. Poor Thing... now he knows how i feel as a die hard Redskins fan ;) this week at work went bt incredibly sloooow... It's been interesting, which is WAY too long to get into, so if i ever feel like talking about how that is going that will be another blog for another day. Today is my oldest brothers birthday and tomorrow i am going home 1 to get Paisley her rabies shot at the clinic(it's cheap!) & her dog license there(because i don't see the point in changing her for Norfolk when we plan to move back to Mechanicsville after the Navy) 2 to have lunch with my cousin & friend! & 3 to go to dinner for my brothers birthday at Hooters :) Adam is extremely jealous that i will be attending his two favorite restaraunts tomorrow without him(poor thing has duty!) but i promised to take him to Buffalo Wild Wings on Monday night for supper(he's so spoiled) Since i am a working girl & can now :) I love having my own money! Now that we had been predicted to have snow & some parts of VA did, but we unfortunately did not... i am ready to move on from Winter & bring on summer! I'm ready for the beach & camping & just enjoying a summer with my husband(for once!) I'm trying to think if anything else happened this week... OH we went and saw Zero Dark Thirty...pretty good movie! anyone that hasn't seen it, i reccommend it! Welp, i'm going to read this book & just relax knowing i don't have to work tomorrow! whoo hoo! & snuggle up to my husband(after he's done playing COD of course ;) lol)

This time 7 years ago... i was about 24 hours away from becoming one of the greatest things that i've ever been called, Aunt :) My oldest Nephew turns 7 YEARS OLD TOMORROW! I cannot believe it... where did the time go? So much has happened in those 7 years... feels like it's been a lifetime. I wish he would stop growing... I wish both of my Nephew's would stop growing... soon enough my oldest one will not want me hugging & kissing on him & telling him he's my best friend & i love him soooo much. Why can't they be babies forever? :( I cannot express enough how much of a joy it has been to be an aunt to the two most amazing little boys. I love them as if they were my own... I'd do anything & everything for them... they are my world :) It's just such a wonderful thing. Wow... ive been an Aunt for 7 years :) Gosh... Stop growing now! lol Well, I've finished my first full week of nannying! it got so much better after the first VERY long day... i thought i was going to mess up, but suprisingly it's going really well & i'm already head over heels for the little one... he's such a joy to spend my days with, BUT i am SO thankful it's the weekend... tomorrow hubs & i are going back home for the day to spend the day with the birthday boy! lot's of fun things planned tomorrow i'm SUPER excited... I also hope that this guy doesn't get this dog, so that we can have her. My Sister in Law(Hub's sister) has a friend that's getting rid of their Lab/Border Collie mix & i was a tad late at seeing the post :-\ but i really hope the other guy backs out & we can get her. I think she would be a GREAT addition to our family... even tough we'd change her name LOL ;) Paisley needs a friend badly! So we'll see... otherwise eventually Adam and I will be investing in a new furbaby for our family(eventually we'll have a real baby lol) Well, not much else has been going on... i'm exhausted & laying in bed watching One Tree Hill and eventually will drift in to dreamland... goodnight everyone & have a great weekend!

annnd im back...

Wow, it's been a long time since i've written last... a lot has happened since then :) Well... the last time i wrote Adam was about to come home from his FIRST deployment... yeah, we've gone through & survived two deployments now & well we hope that's the last one! Adam has been home from his second deployment for two months now. Things have been really well...He bought me a new car while he was gone! a 2013 Ford Fusion... after all the hassle we've gone through for months to get the dang car, we FINALLY have it! Yeahhhh..that's too long of a story to type out right now. lol I recently got another Nanny Job & im 3 days in... So far, i like it... it's a long day, but at least i have the company of a cute toddler to get me through the day. Adam is still on leave right now, so it has SUCKED getting up & going to work and leaving him in bed... but i guess now i know how he's felt all these months! lol We also got a dog when Adam came home from his first deployment... She's a black lab named Paisley :) she has been the BEST first baby ever... We couldn't have picked a better dog. she's amazing! We still don't have any kids of our own yet, but hopefully 2013 is the year! Adam reenlisted on Deployment, so his out date is now in 2014..now we're hoping he gets a job before then, but if not, he will be reenlisting again for Shore duty... and he wants to do his Shore duty in Colorado... I'm not TOO happy about that, but i'll embrace the change if it happens! Welp, the baby is waking up from his nap(probably from my loud ass typing! lol) so i've got to go! till next time friends!

Actually, i can finally say in a few more days i will have my Husband back home with me :) The Navy has finally released his homecoming date! I am so excited, but i still have so much to do before he gets home!!! I've had a busy few days going back and forth to Norfolk to try and get things together for us to move there when he returns and what not!! So much to be excited for when he comes back. I've been putting together a homecoming present for him and i'm still not finished and i need to make a poster too and have to finalize plans with my "photographer" and her "assistant" lol which are actually two of my really good girlfriends one is an actual photogrpaher though but she didnt want to drive down here alone so we invited our other friend to come along!! It's going to be a good day!! I just kind of hope we find a place to live soon(and it would be awesome if it was before he came back, but i doubt it) lol, so then i can cancel the hotel we bought! we'll see...fingers are crossed for good news next week :) It's been storming everyday this week...i'm a bit tired of it now. lol My dog gets so stressed out and scared she has panic attacks! poor thing :( Well, I hope everyone had a good 4th of July weekend...i had a great time camping with my family & shooting off some fireworks with my cousins!! it was a good day! this weekend i will be busy preparing for homecoming & trying to visit as many friends as possible! for some reason everyone has decided to have parties tomorrow!(good grief) Hopefully the NEXT time i blog i can post a picture of my Husband home!!! :) :) Have a good weekend and a good week y'all! i'll be too busy too blog! till next time...

Happy July!!!(and yes i know it's not the 4th yet!) I have multiple reasons for being excited for July one being it's one step closer to the Husband being home!!! :) I will be out of town all weekend, i will be RIVER BOUND tomorrow morning, so i will not be on to wish everyone a Happy 4th of July on here, so i hope everyone has an awesome day & remember the TRUE meaning of the 4th of July...Remember to Thank your TROOPS, present and past, because without them we would not be the land of the free. :) Those of you getting to spend that day with your loved one be so thankful and don't take one single second for granted!! i'm no beauty queen, i'm just beautiful me

So at the beginning of this deployment i had made a deployment chain of all the days he was gone, and took off a link every night, and it pretty much wrapped around my WHOLE room, but im happy to say now that my walls are looking pretty bare ;) I even have a GREAT idea for all the links i took off, because i saved all of them. I’m making him a Welcome Home box and putting a bunch of stuff about Disney World in there since that’s where we are going for our Honeymoon, finally! Sooooo i’m decorating the whole box inside and outside with the links and writing something i LOVE about him and our relationship on each one :) I am so excited for him to do it…i’ve been working on it ALLL week, because i feel like it’s going to take me forever to finish…i’m not even half way finished yet and the box is pretty much covered!!! looks like i’ll be doing some over-lapping! :) I am just so excited about him finally coming home!!!! AHHH! i can barely contain myself! haha

Well, it’s finally Friday…another week almost done! Today i took the little girl i watch to Kings Dominion we had a good day, but next time we’re wearing our bathingsuits so when we get too hot we’re going to the water park!! Tomorrow is my Brother and My Sister in Law’s Wedding Party for all of the ones who couldn’t come to theirt OBX Wedding…Should be a good time! :) Sunday i will most likely go hang out with my Nephew’s since my mom will be babysitting them, because it’s my other brother and sister in law’s wedding anniversary…i think it’s 7 years? but Congratulations to them!!! :) Ohhh and today the rest of my homecoming outfit arrived!!! i am so excited :) :) and i absolutely can’t wait to wear it, because i know Adam will love it!!

Last week i booked the hotel we will be staying in for his first night back(since we don’t have a place to live yet and we want some alone time!) and our hotel is right on the beach and it has a Jacuzzi in our bedroom :) i have it for the whole weekend, but unfortunately i will be the only one staying in it the next night because Adam has duty the very next day he gets back…then the morning after we are checking out and we are coming up to visit his mom and sister and then to my parents house to visit so if anyone wants to come over to see him just get in touch with me and i will fill you in on the date :)

Next weekend i’ll be camping and i’m super excited about that :) I’m a busy bee till the man comes back home :) I am just SO ready to get to Disney World with him and just have a blast and be little kids again, since he has NEVER been before…i am so excited to get to share this experience with him :) :) Lot’s of stuff coming up and going on so i’m sure i’ll have tons of pictures and updates to post soon!

Health Nazi

You know, what happened to good old fashioned exercising & eating healthy to lose weight? Now we have people doing 500 calories a day, supplements, & hormone injections....really? 500 Calories is just ridiculous all together and will not give you the nutrients you need. I have a friend whose doing this diet, and i personally just don't understand it. I know people much heavier than him/her who have done it the old fashioned way...they'd started eating healthy & started walking, running, and bicycleing everyday...yes it took longer for the weight to come off, but atleast it was in my honest opinion the healthier way to losing a signifcant amount of weight. No offense to anyone, but you can't go to the gym run 4 miles and then hit up McDonalds or Sweet Frog on your way home...your 4 miles at the Gym was just pretty much a waste of time, but, it's just funny because those are the types of people you see doing these kinds of diets, because they can't get their weight off...wellllll, no kidding. Did you really expect too? I just hope eventually people learn that all it takes to lose weight in a healthy way is proper eating and exercise.

home sweet home

Well, i am back from OBX! My brother got married this past saturday and it was so perfect :) beautiful day & a beautiful wedding! I've posted a picture in here of one of their Wedding pictures!! it was a good time and fun week, but i am exhausted! luckily i do not have to "work" today so i can still recuperate from the long week/weekend, now it's on to their Party at the end of June then a camping trip then it will be time to prepare for Adam to come home!! :) Adam and I have been looking at some places to live for when he gets back we're just trying to pick that perfect one, and i'm thinking of getting Adam and dog for a Welcome Home present as well, so we'll see about that. While we were gone my dog Rocky that i got when i was 10 passed away :( it was very sad...he was old, but we think it was either because it was too hot outside or when he got stuck in the fence last weekend he was more injured than we thought he was :( poor thing...but on a happier note the trailer for Breaking Dawn part 1 came out and i am sooo excited!! I really hope Adam is around November 18th, so we can go see it!!! :) :) It looks amazing! other than all of that, not much has been going on just going to enjoy my day off today...

I got my toes in the water, ass in the sand...

Well not yet, but in 2 days i will :) Heading down to OBX on sunday afternoon with my brother & future sister in law for the whole week to celebrate their Wedding the following Saturday, June 4th :) I'm getting excited because it's almost JUNE and that means i kicked May's ass along with all the other months since the love has been gone. I need some sun to fix the silly tan lines i got while at Strawberry Hill last Saturday! haha Today i bought a new bathingsuit that i am so excited to wear! ;) Lot's of fun things coming up in June as well...Easton Corbin & Justin Moore will be at Innsbrook and i hope to be there :) Father's Day, My Brother & Sister in Law's Reception Party for the family & friends that couldn't come to OBX to see them get married, and My Mom's birthday at the end of June and then it will be JULY!!! another month down :) I'm getting excited and anxious for the end of this tunnel to get here! I just can not wait to give him a huge hug and a kiss and then we get to go away to Disney World for a whole week!!! Come on days/months hurry up and bring my man home :) (Sorry kind of cheesey, but i am just way too excited now!)

He Did It!!!

My Amazing Husband is now a 3rd Class!!! I am super excited for him...this was his 3rd crack at the test and i guess it's true 3rd time's the charm...the first time he took it he had zero sleep the night before and had not studied he instantly knew he bombed it. the 2nd time he missed it by 12 pts & he was so upset, and so this last time he definitely prepared double time for it and finally did it!! He's worked extremely hard to get here and i hope he continues to work hard and hopefully can do it again someday(if he decides to stay in) He was very excited and proud of himself and it totally relieved him...i can tell that this is going to put him in a GREAT mood for the rest of the deployment. :) I'm definitely a proud wife today!

This weekend is Kat & Cullen's wedding and then it's off the OBX for the week followed by my Brother's wedding next Saturday!! I'm SO excited for some beach time and some fun in the sun...our beach house has a pool, a bar, & a hot tub! :) it will be JUNE soon...time is just flying! I'm even more excited for my Husband to come home and we can go to Disney World he more than deserves this trip now! This past weekend was the Strawberry Hill races which i got BURNT to a crisp at, but it was a good time(for the most part) Afterwards, me and two of my girlfriends went to the Beach to hang out with some friends for my Bestie's Birthday we went out Sat night and were supposed to stay and spend the day on the beach Sunday, but then Sunday morning my Bestie's family called and told her, her Gpa had to go to the hospital and wasn't doing well...so our beach trip was cut short. We'll have more trips soon! I needed a lazy day anyways so that's exactly what i did yesterday...and it felt nice :)

Oh! this past Thursday i went and saw Eric Church in concert and THAT was an adventure in itself...people are SO incredibly rude. My cousin and I got to Eric Church early because wanted good seats so when we got in we got right up on the gate behind Gold Circle seating and sat down and got some drinks(bad idea) because of course by the time the concert was starting i had to potty and OF COURSE the porter jon's were all the way near the front gate of the place so we have to push through the crowd to get there, well on the way back i tried to get through and i was telling people "Excuse me! my seat is up there!" some people were nice enough to let me through, but some would try to block my way and one girls even tried to fight me and pushed me! i'm like "seriously?"...Lesson learned go to the potty WAY before the concert starts and don't drink during the concert so you don;t have to pee or just pay for Gold Circle so you don't have to push through the crowd. i'm going to remember that when i go see Justin Moore & Easton Corbin next month!

here comes the sun

Sorry it has been awhile, it has a been a very eventful week for me...we've had some family things going on, but all is mostly resolved and the sun is coming out :) Tomorrow i'm going to see Eric Church in concert and i'm SO excited! just wish Adam could be here for it, because Eric Church is one of his favorites! I've also been thinking of school & what i want to do with my life...and i've had so many different ideas, so i took a career personality test and my results were not surprising and im trying to narrow it down to the one i think i would be the most good at, and i think i want to try and go to school to be a Guidance Counselor. I've talked it over with my mom & Adam and they both agreed that i would be great at it, i mean i already counsel people i might as well get paid for it ;) this weekend i'm going to Strawberry Hill & then to the beach for my best friend's birthday(hope the rain stays away!), then next weekend is Kat & Cullen's wedding then it's off to the OBX for the week for my brother's wedding! The days keep flying by and they just keep getting busier(which is good!), because that means soon Adam will be home again & then we can finally go on our Honeymoon to Disney World. but other than that not much else has been going on...it's just been a bumpy week so far, but hopefully all things will come together eventually.

bragging (just a little)

So, i'm going to brag on myself and my husband for a few...I'm so proud of us for all the money we have been saving while he's away esp. since neither one of us know how to handle money very well & before we got married we were not good at saving money at all, the whole time we've been together neither one of us has had any money in our savings account and we were both pretty much living pay check to pay check, which sometimes sucked royally, but now i feel SO good that we are NOT living pay check to pay check, our bills get paid on time & we have extra & move some to savings. Moving back home during this deployment was a good idea esp. since we had no money saved up, now when he arrives back home we can move out again with NO problems of running ourselves too short. I am very happy my husband has not blown his paychecks while in ports, because to be honest that was something i was a bit worried about with him, because if he has access to it and it's there most likely he will spend it, but i am so proud of him for thinking of our future together and refraining from spending too much! he got to do the things he wanted to do, enjoyed his time in port, and had money left over for me to pay the bills and do some fun things for myself. I hope we can continue this when he comes home...i'm sure we will since we're in the right state of mind now and want to prepare for whatever our future brings!! I am a happy wife tonight :)

Lucky i'm in love with my best friend

So, I've had food poisoning for over 24 hours now...i'm feeling a little better now but last night was horrible!!! absolutely horrible. I emailed Adam and let him know that i wasn't feeling very well and told him why then at 1am my time my phone rang and it was Adam checking up on me telling me he just read my e-mail and went and found a phone ASAP to call me so he could try to help me feel better!!! It was so sweet of him and EXACTLY what i needed at that time!! I'm one lucky girl! even though he wasn't here to make me feel better just hearing his voice worked a little magic and i finally got to get a little sleep!! I called in sick & just rested all day...did some house hunting ;) and then went to see my new Baby Cousin, Davis :) he's so adorable!!!! Also, other good nes i am booking our trip to Disney World tomorrow!!!! whoo hoo...then a new countdown will begin ;) Adam has never been to Disney World let alone Florida so i am VERY excited that i get to experience this with him!!! I'm looking forward to the drive down there with him...music, windows down, & just us :) It's going to be an awesome trip!! Right now i'm eating some soup hoping it will settle my stomach a little and then i'm just going to read my book and relax for the rest of the evening! I hope all the wonderful Mother's had an awesome day yesterday!! and hopefully i'll feel better soon i've got too much stuff going on to deal with being sick right now. till next time... :)

Mother's Day :)

Happy Mother's Day to ALL the wonderful Mother's out there! esp MINE!! Today, got up early and went to church and ate lunch at my Mema's house...typical Mother's Day here! My brother has his Bachelor party today so him and my other brother and my dad all went to a baseball game. So i've decided to take my mom to the movies to see Water for Elephants :) this will be the 2nd time i've seen it!!! and im excited :) The days keep flying by...if you haven't noticed it is now MAY! :) I'm very excited to see May not too much longer till the Husband is home! I'm working on booking our trip to Disney World this week! SO excited! We were going to do a wedding ceremony, but since we haven't had any positive feedback from his side of the family really we've decided to just not even worry about it anymore. My parents have offered to pay for our trip to Disney World in exchange for the wedding ceremony that they were going to have to throw us! Which HEY paying for Disney is MORE than fine with me...i'd much rather have more money to save than pay for Disney :) Not much else going on...i've got a busy couple of weeks coming up!! but i'll try to update as much as i can! Sorry this one is so short just really not much going on :) till next time... ;)

But I know soon we'll be together, and i can't wait till then...

Well, hello blog world!!! sorry it's been awhile again i've been cheating on you with Tumblr ;) Well, it's EASTER here! So Happy Easter to Everyone(and if you don't celebrate Easter, i'm sorry) nothing much has been going on...STILL kicking this deployment's ass..the days just keep flying by & i hope they continue to do so. I am so excited for him to come home though i can barely take it anymore!! haha This week the month of April will be OVER and thank goodness because April has been such a busy month...May will be kind of BUSY but not as busy thank the Lord. May does has some exciting things though...Eric Church's concert, My future Sister in Law's bachelorette party that i am throwing for her, Strawberry Hill races(like a mini Kentucky Derby), My Friend's Kat & Cullen's Wedding then on Memorial Day i am OFF to the Outer Banks for the week for my Brother's Wedding the following Saturday on June 4th :) Lot's of things to keep me BUSY & MOVING through this deployment. This deployment has taught me so much & taught me to never take my Husband for granted...he is the best thing to ever happen to me & i fall more in love with him each day...my love for him was always strong, but now it's just beyond strong i can't even explain it. I can't wait for him to come home and have a wedding for our family & friends and go to Disney World for a whole week...He's never been so i am beyond excited to share this experience with him!! It's RACE TIME this weekend & i'm SO excited :) Race Day are my favorite times in the spring and the fall...i can always feel when it's coming and i get soooo excited. Since Hubby can't be here i'm bringing my bestie, Brittany, we're always a crazy twosome when we're together so it should be a BLAST! :) :) Well, i will try not to cheat so much and write more often ;) Hope you all have an awesome EASTER & the Easter Bunny is good to you all. till next time...
