insomnia

1:13am & can not get to sleep...Adam is at DUTY tonight so i'm alone :( i HATE being alone but i guess its just something i'm going to have to get used too. Adam might not be going anywhere this weekend...he got that news today...or actually he heard through the big E grape vine...if he does stay this weekend i will be EXTREMELY happy & that will mean he gets to come to mville with ME this weekend :) :) Mechanicsville Christmas Parade on Sunday!!! i'm super excited! looked for some jobs today...of course no luck :( i think i've applied to 40+ different places...no one has called me back. Adam says i'll probably have better luck when the new year starts...i sure hope so! I really want to get a puppy!!! that should be the NEXT thing on our "need to have" list. the first thing is a nice couch...cause this futon is just not cutting it anymore...it hurts my back to sit on this thing...majority of the time im sitting on the floor! i can not waiiiit for adam to come home tomorrow after work...my back is killing me! i need a massage and atleast i'll be able to sleep at a decent time cause he'll be here to play with my hair till i fall asleep :) Now i'm just sort of ramblin' to pass the time...but since i don't really have anything important to say i think i'll just go lay in the bed and read till i can't keep my eyes open anymore!!! till next time...

an update :)

So i totally forgot i had this thing...shows how much im good at keeping journals :) Well, Adam and I moved to Norfolk! we got an apartment...whoo hoo...i moved from my hometown of 23 years to a new place...let's just say in the past 16 days i have felt the following emotions...Excited, Scared, Lonely, Sad, Lost, Confused, Happy, & Determined!!! right now i'm at the determined stage...i am determined to make this experience a GREAT one! Yes, i'm alone & away from my family and friends BUT i just need to let it go...they aren't that far & i just need to put myself out there and find some friends :) i'm hoping for the best!!! Adam goes on his LAST underway on Thursday before the big D in Jan...it's my trial at being here alone. i'm so nervous!!! but i know i'll be okay...i'm going home for the first 4 days because i just have some things to do & because i want too :) I'm hoping to kick this deployments ASS next year!! I am so nervous about him being gone...but i'm just ready to GET IT OVER WITH! I can't wait for the Christmas Season...ready to get my christmas shopping done & out of the way...and to hopefully spend the holiday with Adam(if the Navy doesn't decide to screw that up!) Well, it's getting late & i'm sure Adam can hear my pounding away on the keys out here! i'll update again when there is something going on...or if i just want to ramble! :)

it's the sound of your voice that brings me home

Hey Everyone! wow it's been a good weekend!!! Friday i worked ALL day...9-1 at first job...2-6 at second job then 6-10 at 3rd job! then i went to my Bestie's house to watch movies and hang out with her and her nephew!!! Saturday i got up went home slept till 12...then went and got the girls and babysat...we went to the mall to help Bestie find some shoes for the big party that night then the girls went home and i went home to get ready!!! Wow Saturday night was really EPIC!!! my girl turning 21 was a fun ass night...she got wasted!!!! i do belive she had a good 21st and she deff celebrated it RIGHT!!! she lost her id and has soo many bruises!!! she's a champ! :) Happy Birthday Britt!!! hope it was a blast!! Sunday was my cousin's grad party then i went to bdubs with my girls for a bit...then home to sleep!! not too much longer till i get to be with my Sailor <3 I'm such a lucky girl!!! i can not wait till he comes home to me...its going to be the BEST feeling ever!! ahh...i just can't wait!! The Va beach boys are coming up here this weekend to celebrate more of Britt's birthday!! it's going to be a good time...Dear John comes out tomorrow!!! I really want to get it!!! ahh and only one month till ECLIPSE comes out in theatres!!! i am TOOO excited...i absolutely can't wait to see it!!! its going to be amazing!!!!! TEAM JACOB all the way :) Well i have to get going...eat some lunch get to the bank and then to work...i miss my sailor and can't wait to see him soon. i'll update you guys later on this week :)

counting down the days :)

Hello Everyone! So i heard from my sailor last night and it was the BEST feeling in the world you have no idea!! it made cry and smile at the same time!!! and it made my whole day today sooo much better...i was in such a good mood all day!! I'm so lucky to have someone who loves and cares for me like he does!! :) I can't wait for him to come home i've been counting down the days(in my head, of course!) It's going to be the most amazing day ever...and i took off from work just to spend the whole day with him!!! so exciting...Tomorrow i start my new job at Gold's Gym and i'm nervous and excited at the same time...then hopefully i get to babysit tomorrow night to make some EXTRA cash for my Bestie's 21st birthday party on saturday!!! it's going to be a fun filled weekend without my honey but i don't have many left without him! Happy Birthday to my Bestie Brittany!! love you girl and can't wait to spend your special day with you! thats pretty much all that's happened today and i'm sure i'll have more to type about this weekend...Remember to keep all our men(of all branches!) in your thoughts and prayers!!!

figuring it all out!

So this is my first entry...i'm new to this so bare with me :) Let me introduce myself and tell you all a little about myself now...
ok so here it goes...My Name is Christy!! I'm 22 and will be turning 23 on Sept. 26th!! as you can tell i'm a Navy Girlfriend! I met my boyfriend, Adam in high school when he was 16 and i was 17...we met through a mutual friend that at the time was trying to keep us apart...but 6 years later and HERE WE ARE...look like we got the last laugh huh? We've been friends and had a lot of ups and downs and we've been through pretty much everything together...but whats meant to be will always find a way and it did! I couldn't be happier :) & i'm so proud to call him my boyfriend and my hero! I currently work TWO job's...I work @ Gold's Gym in the Kids Club and i'm also a Pre-School teacher at The Goddard School in the afternoons!! I love working with kids they brighten my days and always bring a smile to my face!!! i'm currently still deciding one what i want to pursue in a career...college pretty much seems like its a forever kind of thing. In my spare time i LOVE going to the beach...I love Skimboarding and Surfing!!! I'm better at skimboarding...its such a rush...i learned a few summers ago and fell in love with it...it truly is my escape and if you haven't tried come to the beach and i'll teach you! :) I'm a big sports nut...my boyfriend says i know more about sports than he does...he's always coming to me for updates!!! a little weird? maybe...but he loves it! I love movies and reading...every movie thats a book i've probably read the book & seen the movie!! I'm a big animal lover...Giraffe's are my FAVORITE animals! & if i could have one dog from every breed i totally would.. :) haha I'm a pretty laid back kind of girl that just likes to have fun...i'm a s positive person that just goes with the flow!! i believe Life's too short to be ANYTHING but happy!!! & i guess thats all you need to know about me...now it's time for me to get some sleep...i'll start my daily life posts tomorrow. read and enjoy.
